PhD Student

In 2021, Rens earned his BSc degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from Eindhoven University of Technology. During his Bachelor's project, he researched optical properties of polar molecular crystals in the M2N group. He continued his academic journey at TU/e, pursuing a Master's in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Molecular Systems and Materials Science, exploring strong light-matter interactions and Raman scattering within polar molecular crystals for his Master's thesis. During an internship at Etulipa, he worked on electrowetting displays.

In 2023, Rens joined the M2N group as a PhD candidate under the guidance of Stefan Meskers, where he currently conducts research on optical properties of polar molecular crystals.
