Boudewijn Coenegracht received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Twente in 2018, after finishing his bachelor end project on the implantation of As atoms in field-effect transistors to create single-electron transistors for quantum computing.
After this, he moved to Berlin to work at Berliner Nanotest und Design GmbH for a period of two years, working on the characterization of thermal interface materials and assisting in the development of the corresponding characterization equipment.
In 2021, he returned to the Netherlands to complete a Master’s degree in Applied Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology, where his master’s thesis was completed in the M2N group under the supervision of prof. dr. ir. René Janssen and Willemijn Remmerswaal, focusing on bias-voltage dependent absolute photoluminescence (APL) characterization of perovskite solar cells. Additionally, he completed a research internship at the University of Turku in Finland under the supervision of dr. Konstantinos Daskalakis and Ahmed Abdelmagid, researching the use of exciton-polaritons for shifting the optical response of organic photodiodes into the short-wave infrared spectral region, finishing the Master’s in 2024.
As of now, he is a PhD student in the M2N group, studying the charge collection losses in perovskite solar cells utilizing bias-dependent APL.
